Hillsboro – Miss Thelma Ebel, 77 died at 12:30 a.m. today in her home. She had been in failing health for several years.  She was a retired teacher and had taught home economics at Hillsboro HS from 1945-1962. She was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and Cain Township Home Extension Club. She graduated in 1923 (?) smudged) from Connorsville HS and in 1928 from Miami University at Oxford, Ohio She was born Sept 29, 1904 at Cincinnati, Ohio, daughter of Charles M. and Maude Smith Ebel. She is survived by two cousins, Mrs. Henry (Leah) Baker and Mrs.  Jerry (Jan) Robinson, both of Aurora. Services are scheduled at 11 a.m. Thursday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. – kbz

Miss Thelma Ebel, 77, Hillsboro, died at 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, at her home.
  Born September 29, 1904 in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of Charles and Maude Smith Ebel. She moved to Hillsboro in 1945 and retired in 1962 as a teacher of home economics. She was a graduate of Connersville High School and Miami University at Oxford, Ohio. She was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and Cain Township Home Economics Club.
  Survivors include two cousins, Mrs. Leah Baker and Mrs. Jan Robinson, both of Aurora, Illinois.
  Services were today (Thursday) at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -s-
